Two Filipina-American sisters return home for Christmas, and announce their plans to make their first-ever pilgrimage to the Philippines, hoping this trip will reconnect them to their Filipino heritage. Three generations are confronted with the consequences of the pressure to assimilate to American society, and grapple with their failure to pass down a culture that never really felt theirs to begin with.
